A transport vehicle will be waiting for you at the taxi stand located at the exit of the cruise port, where all participants from your cruise will gather. The driver will take you to our office in Bayahibe, the starting point of the excursion.

Get ready to experience the breathtaking Saona Island!

On our way, we will pass by the Penon, a striking rock formation. Our knowledgeable English-speaking guide will share fascinating insights into the history and culture of the area, including stories about the indigenous Taino people who once inhabited this land. As we continue, we’ll traverse the mesmerizing mangrove forest, a vibrant wonderland of red mangroves thriving in salt water.

Finally, we will arrive at Saona Island!

Our first stop on Saona Island will be Catuano Beach, where we will spend 20 minutes. This beautiful location is perfect for snorkeling with fins, masks, and snorkels provided. Participants can choose to relax on the boat while others snorkel, based on their preferences.

After this exciting experience, we will board the boat again to head to Abanico Beach, where we will enjoy a delicious Dominican lunch. Once the meal is complete, grab a hat and apply sunscreen for a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters of Saona Island. You will have about one hour to relax at the beach, take stunning photos, and nap by the water's edge.

To conclude our day, we will visit the famous natural pool, where you can spot beautiful starfish (note: it is forbidden to touch them). Enjoy a drink in the shallow, turquoise waters of the Caribbean and savor this magical, unforgettable moment.

We will then return to Bayahibe port with wonderful memories, where your transport will be waiting to take you back to the La Romana port.
